Are You an Emergency Medical Center?
As a minor emergency medical center, TGH Urgent Care powered by Fast Track treats patients who are suffering from non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries. It is important to note that while we do provide urgent care, you should visit an emergency room (ER) if you are experiencing the symptoms of a major medical condition, your life is in jeopardy, or you have sustained a severe wound that could be considered limb threatening.
You may be wondering what is considered a non-life-threatening condition. The board-certified providers at TGH Urgent Care Center treat a number of common illnesses, such as urinary tract infections, diarrhea, flu, ear infections, rashes, and fevers, among many others. In the case of non-life- and limb-threatening injuries, our walk in emergency clinic treats bone fractures, lacerations, burns, and other minor injuries. Because we offer a number of in-house diagnostic tests and procedures, it is often unnecessary for our patients to visit a laboratory or diagnostic imaging center, allowing us to provide more convenient and more efficient care. In some instances, our physicians may determine that a patient’s condition warrants treatment in the ER, in which case we can facilitate your visit by communicating with the ER’s staff.
