Kaylee Kearns, APRN
National Board Certified Nurse Practitioner
Kaylee Kearns is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner. Kaylee was born and raised in Florida and loves calling Tampa her home. She obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing with a minor in Public Health from the University of South Florida, graduating with honors. While in nursing school, she spent several weeks in Panama providing medical care to patients in rural areas. After this experience, she became passionate about global health advocacy and caring for underserved communities. She started her nursing career in the Transition Nursery Unit at Tampa General Hospital. She later transitioned to the Pediatric Medical/Surgical Unit and has most recently worked in the Labor and Delivery Unit. She achieved several clinical ladder accomplishments, and received the honor of “Nurse of the Year” from TGH.
Kaylee continued on and achieved her Masters of Science in Nursing degree from the University of South Florida graduating Cum Laude. While at USF, she also became a member of the prestigious nursing honors society Sigma Theta Tau and she continued with community outreach by volunteering on the USF Mobile Care Bus which traveled to women’s shelters, refugee centers, and other rural areas to provide medical care for those who wouldn’t typically have access to care. She came to TGH Urgent Care to start her nurse practitioner career and has been with the company for over a year now. She is very passionate about Family Health and is board-certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and takes pride in serving the patients in her own community.
In her spare time, Kaylee loves to spend time with her husband, her daughter, and their rescue dog. She enjoys traveling, going to the beach, riding her Peloton bike, and spending time outdoors.
